Japanese Ambassador to Zambia Mizuuchi Ryuta paid a courtesy call on Higher Education Minister Hon. Dr. Brian Mushimba at His Office today.
Dr. Mushimba, during his engagement with the Japanese envoy,recognized the bilateral relations that have for a long time existed between the two countries.
He also expressed happiness that the Japanese Government was conferring an honour of recognition on the University of Zambia School of Veterinary Medicine for the excellent results it has been producing in the exchange programme.
The School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Zambia and Hokkaido University of Japan have an agreement since 1991 for educational and research exchanges.
And Japanese Ambassador to Zambia Mizuuchi Ryuta indicated that the Japanese Government will, in addition to conferring an honour of recognition on the School of Veterinary Medicine, donate Japanese related books to the University of Zambia library.
